Back 2 school!

Back-to-School Comments

One thing every tweenager dreads is going back to school, but along with the displeasure of leaving your couch for the next 180 days comes with a plus, school shopping! I have always enjoyed shopping for school i'm not quite sure why, but i love it. One thing i learned last year was to keep myself extremely organised because, every year right about in the middle of the year i start losing things , everything just gets shoved into one place and its just one big mess.
                         ~Easy Note taking~

To keep yourself oraganized this year try zip up three ringed binders (the reason I suggest zip up is because it keeps everything from getting destroyed) . Get colorful tabs and folders for each period, lable each tabs according to the subject , take your notebook paper and put some in each section for every class, that way when you are ready to take notes you can just flip to the subject your in.

                                                                           ~planner~
One school necessity for me is a planner the one I got for this year is my favorite so far, it has tabs on the sides making it so much easier to navigate through the various sections. Planners not only organize your backpack it organizes your mind.

                        ~Locker Space~

There is one thing that i know of that excites girls going into middle school, lockers. They are place to call you own for the year. We all know that our lockers are not going to be as neat as the one in the picture shown above, but its important to keep them as clean as possible. Make sure you put your books on the bottom shelf, their easier to get to and more convenient. Keep your locker free of papers, as well as open food. I know that at my school if you leave open food in your locker there will be tons of bugs in your locker the next morning. Stay away from cluttering up your locker door with tons of magnets this can make it look busy as well as messy.

Hope your school year is awesome!

Cheap and Easy Tips for teenage girls on how to Create a Spa right in your own bathroom

One thing us girls are genetically born with is our want to pamper ourselves. Not only does it make us feel good it seems to make us look good to. But its super easy to achieve a relaxing spa worthy afternoon right in your own bathroom.

First choose the mood, if you want to perk up, feel more awake, pick scented candles that reflect your mood like citrus, and play upbeat music. If you want your spa experience to be a little more relaxing try scented candles that smell like lavender, and play relaxing music, like oriental or classical.

Then once you have everything ready start a bubble bath and add extract oils. But be careful baths can really dehydrate you quickly, so drink lots of water. While your soaking in the bath tub apply a facial cleansing mask, put lip exfoliants on, put on a hair mask or wash, ect. When you get out apply your favorite scented lotion and put comfy pajamas on. then you can continue relaxing.

is it a rat or a mole?

Yesterday me and my family went to the national zoo in Washington DC. We saw the craziest, ugliest creature I've personally ever seen. This little creature is called the Heterocephalus glaber ( I realize that's way to hard for all of us to pronounce, so its nickname is The mole rat.)  its skin has hardly any feeling in it, making it possible for them to live in harsh environments.

These crazy little animals run ramped all through eastern Africa. They are not an endangered spiecies these rodents are very large in numbers. In fact, There probably are so many because they live so long! They are considered the longest living rodent, with a lifespan up twenty~eight years.

Sherlock Holmes Quotes

Sherlock: [Watson] Never theorize before you have data. Invariably, you end up twisting facts to suit theories, instead of theories to suit facts.

Mary Morstan: It does seem a little far-fetched, though. Making all these grand assumptions based on such tiny details...
Sherlock Holmes: Well, that's not quite true, is it? In fact, the little details are by far the most important.

~Travel~ (France)

France is four-fifths the size of Texas and has many famous landmarks, over the years it has become a popular place for tourists because of its beautiful structures like the Eiffel Tower and the Cathedral of Notre Dame. France's capital is one of the most well known french cities, Paris.

 ~The Eiffel Tower~
The Eiffel tower is one of the most recognisable structures today. In 1889 it was built as an exibitation tower and was also made to be an entry arch for the world fair . It was not meant to be a permanent structure but it still remains standing  today.

The Eiffel tower is often called the iron lady in france (la dem de fer). This famous tower stands 984 feet off the ground. Thats seven stories high! One of the cool things about the Eiffel tower is inside the first and second floors there are restraunts.

Coca~Cola

Ever wondered how this famous soft drink came to be?
This is one of the very fist Coca~Cola bottles
On may, 1886, a local pharmacist in Atlanta named John Pemberton  created this product in a three legged brass kettle in his back yard. Pembertons close friend and bookkeeper , Frank Robinson suggested the name Coca~Cola, and actually in scripted the familiar logo that we see on cans and bottles today. Because robinson was a bookkeeper his handwriting was extremely neat.

Coca~Cola was actually was  first introduced as a tonic, which contained traces of Koca nut (which was rich in caffeine) and Cocaine.

Touch of the Master's Hand

'Twas battered and scarred, and the auctioneer
Thought it scarcely worth his while
To waste much time on the old violin,
But held it up with a smile:
"What am I bidden, good folks," he cried,
"Who'll start the bidding for me?"
"A dollar, a dollar"; then, "Two!" "Only two?
Two dollars, and who'll make it three?
     Three dollars, once; three dollars, twice;
             Going for three----" But no,
From the room, far back, a gray-haired man
     Came forward and picked up the bow;
Then, wiping the dust from the old violin,
        And tightening the loose strings,
He played a melody pure and sweet
           As a caroling angel sings.

The music ceased, and the auctioneer,
With a voice that was quiet and low,
Said: "What am I bid for the old violin?"
And he held it up with the bow.
"A thousand dollars, and who'll make it two?
Two thousand! And who'll make it three?
Three thousand, once, three thousand, twice,
And going, and gone," said he.
The people cheered, but some of them cried,
"We do not quite understand
What changed its worth." Swift came the reply:
"The touch of a master's hand."

And many a man with life out of tune,
And battered and scarred with sin,
Is auctioned cheap to the thoughtless crowd,
             Much like the old violin.
      A "mess of pottage," a glass of wine;
           A game--and he travels on.
He is "going" once, and "going" twice,
          He's "going" and almost "gone."
But the Master comes, and the foolish crowd
           Never can quite understand
The worth of a soul and the change that's wrought
By the touch of the Master's hand.

The History of Pop Rocks

In 1956, a scientist with General Foods found a way to make a candy that popped in your mouth. General foods approved the idea and the product was named Pop Rocks, obviously because of its characteristics. The first three flavors where orange, cherry, and grape.

Soon after the product became available, mothers became worried about the candy because the thought (because of the co2 gas in it) that combined with a can of soda it may cause the stomach to explode.

In 1979 a child died from his stomach exploding after eating pop rocks and soda together. This child was nicknamed the "exploding kid". General Foods wrote over 50,000 letters to school principals throughout the nation , assuring them that Pop Rocks had only half as much gas as a can of soda in them so it would not cause any serious injury.

In 1985 the pressure became too much for General Foods to handle, so they sold the wrights to the candy to Kraft, and they where very successful with their product. Today Pop Rocks is a favorite among American children.

Last Space Shuttle Launch

When I was little I used to want to be an astronaut, I wanted to see the surface of the moon for myself. I used to wonder what it would be like to float through space . Today at 11:26 NASA sent their very last spacecraft, Atlantis, into orbit. This is a sad moment in our history, to think, one day we could've been the first to set foot on Mars. But now that Obama has taken away the NASA program for one simple reason . To have more money to spend. Because it seems as though spending is always the answer.

What sparked my interest in blogging

About five years ago my mother began blogging, at first she occasionally posted about her opinions in politics on her blog. This started something even more exciting than she had ever planned for. Tons more people began streaming into her blog daily. Soon our local newspaper called for an interview. This made my family get even more involved in blogging. I think it was that year we went to a Sarah Palin rally and stood eight hours in the heat... but it was worth it!!! CNN called a few weeks later, this was SO exciting to all of us! My mom called some of her very best friends to be in the interview with her! All of the camera men were super nice! I remember when it aired, me and my dad watched all those people from different countries come to my moms blog it was really cool!

Recently one of my best friends made a blog that is really cool too, and she's also one of the people that inspires me, because she's such a great friend. :)
